Established in Sydney’s west in the early 1970s, Electronic Service and Manufacture, or Elsema, is an Australian owned and operated company that designs and manufactures high-performance wireless remote control technology, automated gated systems, and hardware for demanding residential, commercial and industrial settings. Core products include transmitters and key fobs, wireless receivers and relay modules, automated swing and sliding gate kits. 4G gate controllers, and IP66-rated enclosures.
These are key fixtures used to establish secure and interference-free wireless links in diverse applications, including industrial automation, traffic management, remote mining and agricultural equipment operation, healthcare and access control. The company has expanded its product selection from its first 27MHz FMR remote key fob and matching single or multi-channel receivers for automated gates and garages, to include transmitter and commercial or industrial use Elsema receiver lines with advanced security features such as anti-jamming technology, dual digital coding and scalable control over machinery and equipment.
Penta Series Receivers

Operating in the licence-free 433.10 MHz to 434.70 MHz band, Elsema’s Penta Series receivers are extensively used in residential and commercial access control systems, including automated doors, garage doors, motorised shutters and lighting.
Core technologies are Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) across five different frequencies to prevent unwanted interference, code grabbing, and signal jamming. Options in the Penta Series Elsema receiver range additionally support dual-coding with 12-way dip switches for straightforward multi-site use, encrypted digital coding with over 17 billion secure combinations and models with 1 to 8 separate channels that allow unlimited transmitter storage as well as selectable relay outputs, including momentary, latching and time-delay operations combining security and safety.
Popular options are the single-channel PCR43301RE receiver in gate and garage door automation; the four-channel PCR43304R / PCR43304RE receiver in multi-device setups (such as entry gates, garden lighting, and pumps from a single board), and the PCR433WG with industry-standard Wiegand output in commercial access control, including car parks, industrial logistics depots and accessible facility entrances. Gigalink Series
Choose Gigalink Elsema receivers when you need reliable, long-range 433MHz wireless control for industrial, commercial, or heavy-duty gate and door automation. With operating ranges of 400 metres. Gigalink receivers provide secure and stable wireless communications in demanding settings, benefitting from unlimited remote storage capabilities with multiple users, low-voltage 12/24V battery-powered or hardwired 240V power options and a configurable selection of output settings. This Elsema receiver also supports multi-device control (with up to 8 separate channels), allowing simple switching between multiple devices.
Key uses are in automate doors and gated systems, extensive industrial control and automation (remotely operating cranes, cement trucks and heavy machinery) and in utilities where the receivers control water pumps, lighting, security systems and apartment building access points. Popular options are the single-channel GLR43301 and the multi-channel GLR43304 and GLR43308R, with 4 and 8 channels, respectively.
MCR (Multicode) Receivers
Similar to the Gigalink receiver range, Elsema’s multi-code MCR receivers are extensively used when remotely operating industrial machinery, multi-unit automated gates, security shutters and large access control infrastructure. Core differences are the 915MHz operating frequency and multi-channel flexibility,
Receivers feature FHSS technology to easily switch frequencies (within the 915 to 928MHz range) to prevent digital interference and intentional jamming common in congested areas such as factory floors, urban construction sites and warehouses. They also supporting an unlimited number of operators, making them ideal in sites where hundreds of transmitters can access a single receiver. With up to 16 available channels, the MCR range also benefits from multi-device control, for instance operating switching functions in heavy machinery and motors independently. This is complemented with 12-way dipswitch functionality for quick manual code matching, and advanced encryption options with up to 16 million combinations in industrial and high-risk areas.
Popular options are the single channel MCR 91501R for single gated and shutter systems; the four-channel MCR 91504R for residential and commercial use, and 8-channel MCR 91508R receivers commonly found in larger industrial applications.
FMR Series
In cases where extreme distances and interference can compromise wireless communications, choose FMR Elsema receivers. Operating on a lower 151MHz frequency, these receivers can receive signals from transmitters up to 5000 metres away, making them ideal in large industrial and agricultural operations, where they remotely operate machinery, pumps, irrigation systems and lighting.
The MCR is specifically tailored to work against intentional jamming in congested areas with wider bandwidths, deploys selectable output configurations for user flexibility and straightforward programming with dip switches to easily set codes and frequencies. This is paired with multi-channel input to control one or multiple devices.
Common options within the series are the single-channel FMR 15101, usually as a 12/24v battery powered unit in gated systems, and the hardwired FMR 15101240 operating on a mains connection.
Pair Elsema receivers with transmitters in matching series, compatible antennas to boost signal strength, and dedicated enclosures to protect the electronics from weathering and intentional tempering.
