The Suggested Vibrating Screen Working Principle

Quarry, coal, chemical, metallurgy, mining, construction and many other industries depend on using heavy-duty machines for screening and separating different materials for further use. There are different screening machines on the market, but one that has earned a reputation as the most efficient screening machine is the vibrating screen. The vibrating screen is an essential piece of screening equipment that efficiently separates materials of different sizes into different levels of granularity.

This flexible piece of screening equipment has a very simple, yet highly efficient structure. Although the usual vibrating screen is consisted of one screening surface, some models are designed with more screening surfaces for increased productivity and faster cycle time. Made from heavy-duty materials, the vibrating screens are capable to separate even the most difficult materials. The vibrating screen also comes with an eccentric bock, a coupler, a vibration motor, a rugged frame and a screen box which separates the materials. Another good thing is the small fuel consumption.

The screen box is the most important part of the vibrating screen. The rotation depends on the vibration motor which makes the whole screening machine to vibrate linearly. The materials that need to be processed enter the screen box from the feeding port and move through the screening conveyor. For proper vibration, the vibrating screens use a cylindrical eccentric shaft and an eccentric block. The vibration unit which is composed of these two parts is positioned on the sideboard of the screen box. In order to vibrate, the screen box relies on centrifugal force.

Thanks to the vibration motor, the vibrating force can be adjusted depending on the operator needs. As a result, the vibrating screen is used for different applications. The screening procedure of the vibrating screen includes three steps:

  • Screening from fine to coarse. During the first step, the vibrating screen arranges the materials in accordance with the screen surface. As the materials are being arranged, the screen layer sieve screens them along the entire length of the screen surface.
  • Screening from coarse to fine. During this process, the machine screens from coarse to fine materials.
  • Mixed screening: In the mixed screening process, one part of the shifters screens from coarse to fine materials, while the other shifters screen from fine to coarse.

With many innovative features, the vibrating screen is a worthy investment that guarantees many years of effective and smooth operation.
